Making decisions based on data is central to our strategy . In the words of our CEO: ‘Data is the new electricity.’ It allows us to tackle business in a different way. On our data platform, Edison , colleagues from different departments find a number of solutions and services that support them in data-driven work.

As our Product Owner Data Engineering, you work with a strong team on the frameworks and tools used to provide data-driven solutions on Edison. These frameworks create clarity amidst the complexity. They determine the standards for GDPR, lineage, protection, scheduling, build & deploy projects, data processing and metadata. How would you like to work on them?

• You work closely with Product Managers and System Architects to further expand Edison. You focus on the frameworks and tools for our Data Engineering community . You’re continuously in contact with your internal clients to manage optimisations.
• You work with Product Experts to give form to a supported roadmap . How do we reach our long-term goals for Edison? How do we improve existing products in the short term? You deliver the answers.
• You guide and coach the development team to deliver high-quality products. You do this together with the Scrum Master. Together, you make sure priorities are clear. Everyone always knows exactly which features and stories are next on the planning.

Jouw profiel

• You have a bachelor’s or a master’s degree and a background in data engineering . Due to the technical complexity, practical knowledge of software developmen t is a must for a flying start in this job.
• You know perfectly well how to set concrete goals for a team and make balanced decisions around scope and priority.
• You have strong communication skills . Coaching or challenging colleagues? Giving management crystal-clear information? You do it fluently in English – preferably in Dutch too.
• You’re a patient, friendly and curious person. You love to look into new ideas and facilitate discussions that bring people on the same wavelength.
• You see through obstacles to focus on the solutions. You’re flexible when a situation changes.
